We are pleased to present the joint activity report of the Eva Luise and Horst Köhler Foundation for People with Rare Diseases and Alliance4Rare gGmbH. The non-profit company is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Foundation and was established to support the Alliance4Rare research initiative for children with rare diseases.

This initiative, which is at the heart of the Foundation’s work, combines the expertise of university children’s hospitals with strong research capabilities with the creative drive of sponsoring partners from civil society. The common goal is to increase research into rare diseases that cause death or severe disability in childhood. By awarding (Junior) Clinician Scientist for Rare fellowships, Alliance4Rare is working to address the dramatic shortage of young talent in paediatric research.

Join our mission: Together, we are paving the way to a healthier future for children and adults with rare diseases!
