Visitors can expect a varied hands-on program all about research: from a chromosomes quiz, simulation glasses offering insights into the world of those affected, to a brain model to discover and a memory wall to contribute to. Our goal: making science tangible and raising awareness for rare diseases.
The park of Bellevue Palace will become a stage for more than 50 non-profit organizations, initiatives, and companies these days. They will inform about their work, showcase the diversity of social commitment, and invite everyone to get involved. Multiple stages will host a diverse program featuring music, readings, discussions, and dance—supplemented by cultural contributions from the partner federal state of Rhineland-Palatinate and the international partner country Portugal.
On Friday, September 12, the Federal President will thank around 4,000 volunteers from all over Germany with a personal invitation for their dedication. A day later, on the Open Palace Day – Saturday, September 13, Bellevue Palace will open its doors to all citizens from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm. Admission is free. To minimize waiting times, visitors will need a ticket for entry: www.bundespraesident.de/buergerfest.
Together with the NCL Foundation, we look forward to inspiring encounters and warmly invite you to visit us at the Citizens’ Festival. Let’s show our support for increased visibility and hope for rare diseases!
